29. Calvary of the Cross

The eight chapels of Calvary of the Cross, along the Way of Passion, were built around 1680, and are older than the Church of The Holy Cross that stands at the end of Passion’s Way. These chapels have very distinctive and interesting architectural features and depict the suffering of Christ during his journey to Calvary. The nearby Hermitage was built about the same time as Calvary of Cross.
