Climate

The incredible wine assortment that is able to be grown in South Tyrol is undoubtedly due to the especially favourable climate conditions that reign here.

To the north, the Alps form a protective wall from the cold northern winds and to the south, the mild Mediterranean climate makes its presence known. On average, there are approximately 1,800 hours of sunshine each year and with average temperatures during the vegetation phase of 17 degrees Celsius, the grape vine can certainly thrive here.
