II. Inhale deep into the wine
Pinch your nose closed and take a sip of wine. – You can’t taste anything, can you? Well, that’s not surprising, since the nose is probably the most important sense organ. Our sense of taste is influenced by the aromas smelled through the nose.
Now smell the wine in a stationary glass – you’ll smell the readily soluble aromas, afterwards, swirl the glass lightly with your hand – now the less soluble aromas begin to come to life. See how important the nose is!
