For hundreds of years, the idyllic pergola vineyards have decorated the South Tyrolean landscape. No other wine region uses this arbour system so extensively; and in Kaltern, it has been developed and perfected like no where else. Today, however, there are fewer of these pergola vineyards, and more of the Guyot-wire frame arbour systems.
