Portrait: Sauvignon

Sauvignon is an elegant, lightly aromatic-grassy white wine, greenish yellow in colour, racy with an aroma and flavour reminiscent of green capsicum and gooseberry.
Mainly produced in the south of South Tyrol, Überetsch, Bozen valley basin, Adige Valley, Vinschgau which accounts to a total area planted of 257 ha
It is an excellent wine to be combined with asparagus, onion soup, snails, fish and as an aperitif. Should always be served lightly chilled at 10-12 C
